River otters still aren’t a common sight in the Rocky Mountains, but they are definitely out there fishing and playing in the rivers and lakes! Every few years I spot one, and it’s always exciting.

This linocut is printed in black ink on Rives BFK printmaking paper. After the print is dry, I paint it with gouache, which is very similar to watercolor. Along the River is an edition of 20 prints. The image is 9 x 9 inches and the paper is 13 x 13 inches.
