Colorado Wolves
Colorado Wolves
This linocut was inspired by a conversation with Libbie Miller, wildlife biologist with Colorado Parks and Wildlife. This is my interpretation of the two wolves that moved into Northern Colorado on their own before the state has started the wolf reintroduction they are planning. The summer of 2021 this pair raised the first wolf pups in Colorado since the 1940’s. Wolves are an important part of the western ecosystems they inhabit, and I’m so glad they are returning to Colorado.
Colorado Wolves is an original print on Rives BFK paper with black ink in a small edition of 20 prints. The image is 18 x 24 inches and the paper is 22 x 30 inches.
