Mountain Whitefish
Mountain Whitefish
I've done research on various wildlife species for different reasons, and from biologist Kevin Rogers I learned some interesting facts about mountain whitefish. In Colorado, they are only native to the Yampa and White River basins. They are very vulnerable to warm water and their numbers are low because of drought and nonnative predators. The best way to protect fish is to keep water in the rivers by conserving your water usage at home!
