Pronghorn Migration
Pronghorn Migration
In northwest Colorado, when we are heading out camping, we always look for pronghorn. They seem to love the wide open empty landscapes with rolling hills covered in sage brush. Pronghorn winter in areas like this that don’t get much snow, so they can still find grass to eat. But in the spring, many herds move to greener mountainous areas to give birth and enjoy the lush vegetation.
This linocut is printed in black ink on Rives BFK printmaking paper. After the print is dry, I paint it with gouache, which is very similar to watercolor. Pronghorn Migration is an edition of 20 prints. The image is 9 x 9 inches and the paper is 13 x 13 inches.
