It’s fun to explore visual ideas without exactly knowing where they will lead. I have a list of words- some of my favorite things, that I use to start new linocuts and poems. This hare emerged from that process. He is the keeper of Time.
Time is printed in black and gold ink on Rives BFK printmaking paper. It is an edition of 20 prints. The image is 11 x 14 inches and the paper is 15 x 18 inches.

Time flies around in circles,
clicking the seconds,
honoring the hours,
noting the changes:
new moon,
crescent moon,
waxing moon,
full moon.
Constellations circle the sky.
Flowers bloom then die.
Leaves fall,
snow falls,
eyelids fall over sleepy eyes.
The hours drip away into dreams,
and I wake,
right on time.
